OUR CHILDREN PSALM 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.

Many of us never saw that passage.

The Lord is expecting us to raise strong people for His Kingdom.

Dr. Frances Cress Welsing asked us, “When does one become strong?”

Her answer was, “before the egg is fertilized”.

I believe that means that before we even think about having children, we are supposed to follow the laws, commandments, statutes and the judgements that are written in The Bible. Dr. Welsing also said that before we even think about having a child, we must get married and build a nest. When she said we need an army of self respecting people to make healthy families, I said ahman & we can do it.

So, we begin now. Many of us must change our relationship with everyone around us, including our children (of all ages). If we have not been loving and nurturing enough, we must begin to be more loving and nurturing. Compliment every child. Never hit, yell at, or call a child an awful name. Always correct children in a nurturing and loving manner. When you find yourself getting angry or frustrated, stop, take a deep breath and think before saying anything. Your first thought should be to make the child (ren) feel safe, then calmly correct by explaining why a correction is needed. Tell a story if you have one. Make the moment a learning moment for the child. If you continue to feel anger, call someone that can cause a calming effect to come over you. Please do not hit, yell at, call bad names, or talk about the other parent of a child.

Let’s talk about it.
